LinkSpirit was an older Windows utility listed as a PageRank calculator for webmasters. The original entry linked to a now-archived developer website and described the application as portable. We have not verified a current developer release, the original source code, or the authenticity and safety of archived downloads. This page is retained as a historical reference, not as a recommendation to install the software.
Important context: Google discontinued public Toolbar PageRank scores in 2016. The old 0–10 score is no longer available as an official public Google metric, so LinkSpirit should not be used or promoted as a way to check a current Google PageRank score.

What Was LinkSpirit?
LinkSpirit was presented in older software listings as a desktop SEO utility associated with PageRank checking. The surviving information is limited, and we cannot independently confirm the full feature set, supported inputs, licensing terms, or whether the application actually performed the functions described in archived promotional copy.
The historical listing characterized LinkSpirit as portable and linked to a ZIP archive. Those claims have not been retested on current Windows systems. A ZIP file does not by itself prove that an application is portable, safe, or compatible with modern Windows.
Why Its PageRank Feature Is Obsolete
Google removed public Toolbar PageRank data in 2016. Although PageRank remains part of Google's internal search systems, Google no longer provides the old public 0–10 score to desktop utilities or website owners. Any old tool claiming to retrieve that retired public score cannot provide a current official Toolbar PageRank result.
SEO products may offer their own link, authority, or popularity metrics. These are third-party estimates with provider-specific calculations, not Google's former Toolbar PageRank score. Do not treat different providers' metrics as directly interchangeable.
Download and Compatibility Cautions
- Developer: Historically associated with RankSpirit; the original site is available only as an archived reference.
- Current release: Not verified.
- Download safety: Not verified. We recommend avoiding the archived executable unless its origin and integrity can be independently established.
- Windows compatibility: Not tested on current Windows versions.
- Portability: Described as portable in the historical listing, but not independently confirmed.
- Current usefulness: The former public Toolbar PageRank-checking purpose is obsolete.
We have removed the direct download link from this review because the file's provenance and integrity could not be confirmed. If you encounter a copy elsewhere, scan it with reputable security software and do not run it on a system containing sensitive data unless you can verify its source.
Modern Ways to Review Website Links
For your own website, Google Search Console provides reports for search performance, indexing, and links Google reports for the site. It does not provide the retired Toolbar PageRank score. For crawling internal links, checking broken URLs, or reviewing page structure, choose a maintained website crawler and consult its current documentation. Treat any third-party authority score as an estimate rather than an official Google ranking value.
For another historical Windows web utility on PendriveApps, see SpidEye Web Crawler. Its current compatibility and availability should be checked separately.
Historical Reference
LinkSpirit is retained here for readers researching older desktop SEO utilities. Its current download, safety, licensing, and compatibility remain unverified, and it should not be relied on for present-day Google PageRank checks.
