Yod'm 3D is a portable 3D virtual desktop manager. It does for Windows what Beryl or Compiz does for Linux. It utilizes a 3D rotating cube to allow the user to change desktops and can manage up to four desktops. Best of all, it can be brought with you to run portably from a USB device such as a flash drive or external hard disk.
Yod'm 3D Windows Desktop Cube
Yod'm 3D (Yet Another Desktop Manager 3D) was a software application for Windows that provided a 3D desktop cube effect, similar to Compiz in Linux environments. It allowed users to switch between multiple virtual desktops arranged in a 3D cube layout, with each side of the cube representing a different desktop workspace.
Users could rotate the cube horizontally or vertically to switch between desktops, providing a visually appealing way to organize and navigate their workspace. The software also offered various customization options, such as the ability to configure the number of desktops, cube rotation speed, and visual effects.
However, it's worth noting that it was developed for older versions of Windows. As newer versions of Windows were released, support became limited or nonexistent due to changes in the operating system architecture and security features. Additionally, alternatives like VirtuaWin and Dexpot have provided similar functionality for users interested in virtual desktop management on Windows.
