How Sudoku Works
Sudoku is played on a 9 by 9 grid that is divided into nine smaller 3 by 3 grids. The objective is to fill the grid with the numbers 1 through 9 so that:
- Each number appears only once in every row
- Each number appears only once in every column
- Each number appears only once in each 3 by 3 subgrid
To complete the puzzle, all rows, columns, and subgrids must contain the numbers 1 through 9 with no repetitions.
